Diwali: Festival of Light

Happy Halloween and Happy Diwali!

I find it fascinating that so many of the ancient religions from around the world celebrate Light and all that it signifies. Enlightenment, blessings from God or Goddesses, awakening, joy, victory over darkness and good over evil. We love what Diwali signifies as it is such an ancient celebration in the Hindu religion. It shows us that the celebration of Good over Evil has been going on a long time and is an intricate part of our human history.

I also find it fascinating that this year it fall so close to Halloween, the Day of the Dead, All Souls Day: which turns our gaze to the goings-on of the shadow world. This is in contrast to the celebration of Light and that is very much reflected in the world today. Dark and light in intense opposition to each other.

Let us all celebrate the dark and the light and yet remain bright lights in this world.

Many Blessings!
